It’s finally done!! After putting the finishing touches on the score, Jesus Is My Shepherd, a collection, it is complete. The compilation contains settings for voice with keyboard accompaniment (initial setting), lead sheet (melody line with chords symbols above), SAB choir, piano solo, and handbells. A sample copy of the score is available for preview on Journey Begun Music , under the Choral/Vocal section. When you have a chance, check it out.
Within the next few weeks I’ll be putting the finishing touches on the score for Jesus Is My Savior, a collection. Be on the lookout for this update.
Otherwise, the residency continues to move along nicely. My time management has proven somewhat successful. Staying relaxed and continually tweaking my approach are two components I keep in mind. However, my goal is to spend time being more creative and less time spent figuring out how to be organized/creative. This is a work in progress to be sure.
Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement.
Peace to you all!!

Blessed New Year one and all!!! The performance season kicked in to full swing for the Greenleaf Singers and for the various seasonal service singing for the Shepherd's Choir back in November. My recital in October was a wonderful success and a great experience for audience and participants alike. Shepherd’s Choir premiered a Christmas anthem I wrote for them based on a text by my mom, Holy Gift, Holy Child. The ensemble presented the piece in fine fashion.
I’m not one for making New Year’s Resolutions. The kicker is, I’ve really needed a change in my time management as I sabotage myself with worrying about sticking to a specific time schedule. This approach has not proven successful. My goal is to proactivate my vocations without bogging myself down with when and where I write, practice, prep for rehearsals, answer emails, etc. This is quite a significant change for me as I tend to be very detail oriented. However, the new year is off to a good start. I’m embracing this change and look forward to where God will lead me in my time management.
That’s all for now.
Peace to you all!!
